In conjunction with LifeBanc, the northeast Ohio area organ procurement agency, the Cleveland Eye Bank sponsors Art for Life. This is a poster contest open to high school students in the LifeBanc and Eye Bank service area. Winning posters have been used in a widely distributed calendar and other public awareness campaigns. The contest is held every other year. Art for Life was created to honor the memory of Fred Markowitz, a former Eye Bank board member who was an organ and eye donor.
