The Cleveland Eye Bank is committed to making eye donation a positive experience for the donor family. One of the ways we do this is by offering our Lasting Legacy program. This program provides the opportunity for the family to celebrate their loved one's lasting legacy by publicly recognizing the contribution made through eye donation.

If the family wishes, the Eye Bank will provide a framed certificate of recognition that can be displayed at the funeral home. Recognition pins for the donor family are also part of the program. It also possible to use the Cleveland Eye Bank symbol in the obituary thus indicating the donor's decision to share the gift of sight through eye donation. Families may also choose to acknowledge the donation in the obituary, for example, "John gave the gift of sight through eye donation.”
